Happy 3rd Birthday Jake!!!

I cannot believe that my Jakey is three years old today.  It seemed like just yesterday when I went to the hospital when I hadn't felt him move that whole morning at church.  I didn't think anything would be wrong but went to the hospital mostly because Shaun pushed me to.  I am forever grateful that I listened to him as Jake would probably not be here today if I didn't.  I'm grateful for all those amazing Doctors and Nurses who took care of him and nursed him back to health.  I loved bringing him home and having my own family to take care of and love.  He was a fun baby and always made life fun.  He is an awesome brother to Savannah and I love seeing them fight and play and love each other.

Now he is three and he is conversing like a champ.  Sometimes he repeats things Mommy says and it's usually pretty funny hearing the things that he's repeating.  The other day in the car we were getting ready to go somewhere and I was putting Savvy in her car seat and she was fighting me.  Jake says, "Seriously, child?"  It was so funny.  I didn't realize that I say that.  I love being able to have conversations with him and always knowing what's on his mind.  Most of the time the things on his mind make me laugh out loud.  He has such a fun personality.  He's sweet and stubborn and a little loud and such a boy.  He LOVES anything Spider-man, Batman, Ironman, Hulk, Captain America, basically any superhero.  He loves to get dirty and play at the playground (it's not the park to him, it's the playground.)  He says everyday that he wants to go to school because that's where Daddy goes.  He loves to make messes and pull every toy out of the toy bins and off the toy shelves.  He loves donuts, broccoli, chicken nuggets, turkey hot dogs, fruit snacks, chocolate milk, and any kind of fruit.  He loves watching movies.  His favorite right now is anything superhero of course and Rugrats!!  He loves wandering the aisles at Walmart and looking at all the toys.  He can say his prayers all on his own and they usually include some silly thing every night but I think it's cute.  What else can I say?  He is a joy to have in my life and I'm so grateful I get to be his Mom.  He gives the best hugs and kisses and is a super sweet boy most of the time.  I love you Jakey!!!

So, since it's Halloween and we are going trick-or-treating tonight and Dad has to work until 6:00 p.m., we thought that we would celebrate his birthday this morning.  That way Dad could see him open all his presents.  I decorated last night and did a balloon drop thing on his door so when he woke up this morning all the balloons would drop on him.  He was so excited that it was his birthday.  He's so adorable.  I didn't take very many pictures because I was doing a video and Shaun isn't very good at taking pictures.  So I'm sorry for all the videos.  I'll split them up so you don't have to watch a super long video.  He was so cute opening his presents.

Spoiled boy!! So many presents!!

Balloon drop!  See the video below for when he opens the door.

Murray Farms??

Just on the outside of Bakersfield as your headed to Las Vegas there is this hugh red barn and a bunch of plants and stuff and I've always wanted to stop there. We weren't in a super huge hurry to get home so we thought it'd be fun to stop and see what this place was all about. They had a pretty nice variety of fruits and veggies you could buy but they had a bunch of kids stuff to do and if it wasn't as hot as it was we prob would've stayed longer. But we checked out the petting zoo area. They had a spider and ant maze that the kids could climb through and a bunch of other activities. You should stop there if you are ever passing through and need a little break!!

RR Museum

We got together with Cathy and went to the Railroad Museum and Beach Hut Deli and then celebrated Bryce's Birthday at BJ's! It was a fun day, but my phone wasn't taking very nice pictures for some reason!! Jake and Savvy loved the Railroad Museum. They had a blast checking out all the trains and running around!! It's a lot bigger than I thought it'd be!!
