Random Pictures of my Cute 4-month Old!

This is his face-down frustration postion!!

My baby can sit up!! (For about 10 seconds before he falls over, but he can still do it!!)

He is getting so big!! I can't believe how fast he is growing!! He loves eating Oatmeal and Bananas! and he is now mostly on formula which makes him so much happier because he is getting enough food! I still get to nurse him in the morning and at night which makes me happy! So we both win!!
He is getting to have so much personality! I love seeing it come out. He is so much fun and he brings so much happiness to our lives.
Just a quick story-- I was trying to teach him how to stick out his tongue. So as I'm sticking my tongue out at him he grabs my face and tries to bring my tongue towards his mouth (he puts everything in his mouth these days) Lindsay and I thought it was the most hilarious thing every and started laughing at him. Well he must not have thought it was funny and he straightened all of his limbs and looked and me and gave a little yelp. Well we thought that that was super funny so we started laughing even louder. Well he really didn't think that was funny and he got even stiffer and his eyes got big and his face got a little red and he yelled at me! I laughed even more and then he started crying so I had to comfort him. He is so funny. So I guess I'm going to have a son that doesn't like to be laughed at!! He is so much fun!!

Jakey's new toys!

He loves his high chair!! He was super excited when I put him in it.
This is his new play saucer thing!! He doesn't get bored quickly!
So I know this looks posed but it was just one of the shots that came out as I was trying to get one of him smiling! Precious picture!
He's really good at playing with that clear plastic wheel thing!! He gets excited and hits it and makes it spin over and over!!

Just some fun things we did today!!!!

So Lindsay is spending the week with us while my parents are away at a conference. We celebrated her birthday today by going to In-N-Out and then to explore the wonderful world of IKEA! We had a lot of fun imagining what our future house will look like!!
We went to the park and went straight for the swings!! He couldn't keep his hands out of his mouth!
That's the closest I got to a smile from him while we were swinging!
Lindsay is such a good Aunt!
I guess he's still too young for that rocking horse yet.
Trying out the office chairs at IKEA!! Fun stuff!
Pretty tired out!

Jakey is 4 months old!

Jakey's "girl"friend Sammy

I can't believe it but my little man is already 4 months old. It may seem like no big deal but it's weird to me because I still remember him as a baby like it was yesterday. People are so right when they say that they grow up before your eyes and you never even realize it. He is such a fun guy to be around. He laughs and smiles. He loves when I blow bazurbits (how do you spell that?) on his belly and cheeks. He is really ticklish especially on his sides. It's fun to watch him skwirm when I tickle him. He loves to play with his toys. He grabs onto things and puts them in his mouth including my hair!! He has also learned that I'm his Mom and is mad when I hold other babies or give my attention to something else. On Valentine's Day I watched one of my friends' daughter, Sammy. She is just two weeks younger than Jakey and she wasn't very happy at first. So I was holding her and let Jake play on the floor. He was super happy until he saw me and realized I was holding and comforting Sammy. He did not like that one bit. He stuck out his bottom lip and threatened to cry. I started talking to him and smiling at him and he kinda smiled but then he broke out in full-on sob! It was so funny. I picked him up and he immediately stopped crying. How is that for Momma's boy?? :-)I better break him of that habit soon! P.S. I love when he sticks out his bottom lip. It is adorable!
At his 4 month check-up he weighed 13 lbs. 4 oz. and was 25 inches long. The doctor said he was on the smaller side for his age and wondered if I had thought about adding some solids into his diet. I said I had thought about it but I didn't tell her that I had already given him some significantly milked down rice cereal two days in a row. He did an amazing job eating it. So I told the doctor that he would probably do really well with it. She had him lay on his belly to see how strong he was and said that I could start him on some veggies and rice cereal once a day increasing to twice a day as I saw fit! His first experience with sweet potatoes was so fun! He loved them. I regret not taking a video because he was so excited to eat that as soon as I put the spoon in front of his mouth he didn't wait for me to put it in but threw his head forward to chomp on the deliciousness. He was soooo funny! The worst part is he likes sticking his hands in his mouth between bites so I have resorted to holding down his hands while he eats so they don't get messy too!
So all-in-all Jakey is a happy 4 month old who loves his Mom and Dad! We love him and it's fun to see his personality coming out. You can see some of his smiley and fun side in these pics..

I love his overalls! He loves his Bumbo seat!

I think he looks super old in this picture. Those are the toys that he loves playing with!

After his bath in his frog man towel! He's not smiling because he hates getting out of the bath! He loves being in the water!

Sitting up like a big boy on the couch. He's wearing Shaun's Tarheel's PJ's that he wore when he was a baby!

All smiles!

A half-smile?

His usual open-mouthed excited smile!

Shaun's first time feeding him. Jake is looking at him like "What are you doing Dad?"

Doesn't he look so bored!?

Check out this video of Jakey's new trick!
