Happy Halloween from Grandpa Lindy and Grandma Cathy

Jake and Savannah got a Halloween package in the mail today from their Grandpa and Grandma Scoffield!! Jake is used to opening presents now because he knew exactly what to do with it. They loved their little goodies and had fun trying to put up the window things. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!! Happy Halloween!!

Seeing what else is in there.

He said "Ooooo" when he saw the fruit snacks

He loves his fruit snacks!!

The kids with the cute letter from Grandpa and Grandma!

I LOVE this face of hers!!

Yay for Halloween decorations!

Jake's B-day Party!

So this year we decided to celebrate Jake's birthday on Sunday with family here in Vegas. We just did cake and some snacks. It was low-key but so much fun! Jake got some really awesome gifts and it was really nice to see some family. It was a lot more fun this year because Jake's personality has really developed over the past year and it was fun to make him a Buzz cake which he loved and to buy him presents I knew he would like. I can't believe he is almost 2 years old. I'm so excited to see how he grows this next year. And hopefully we will be able to get through the "Terrible Two's" and the potty-training without too much drama!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!!
His cake.. I felt bad because it looks a little girly. Maybe I shoulda done green fondant but I wanted purple to match Buzz.Oh well.. It was still cute!! And I really like the marbled look of the fondant.. It looks more like a planet to me that way.

Listening to everyone singing to him.

Blowing out his candles. He got it right the first time.

Eating his cupcake. I remember last year he only ate some of the frosting. This year.. same thing. He licked off a little frosting and then was done. I was surprised considering that all day he kept whining and crying for cake. Funny boy.

Opening presents.

Grammy got him that monkey. If you pet his head he moves and makes noise. Jake loved it. He was making monkey noises right along with it and so was Daddy! :-)

Shaun and I bought him this teddy bear. I've been wanting to get one for him for awhile. He LOVED it.. He was so excited and immediately jumped on it. Maybe he will get out his aggression on the bear instead of Savannah!! :-)

He got blocks from Uncle Keith and Aunt Tammy. He played with them all morning. Building towers and knocking them over and laughing hysterically..

He got smooshed by the bear.

He was so excited for his Buzz car. Thanks Jord, Tiff, and Spence... He also got more cars from them. He always seems to misplace his hot wheels.. So thank you for replenishing his supply. He always carries at least 2 or 3 in his hand.

Unwrapping his present from Grandma and Grandpa Scoffield.

He had a lot of fun tearing off all the paper.

This is his face when he first realized what it was. His friend Jett had one in CAli and they used to fight over it all the time. He was so excited.

Group shot. I didn't take it early enough. Haddie and Grammy and Poppa left before I took the pic. Denise and Jerry were there too but they took the picture!! :-)

First thing this morning, he comes out.. gets all excited because his car was put together and then sat in it and watched the rest of Brother Bear.

Trunk or Treating time

I was so excited this year that our ward was having a trunk or treat. They had some fun games and yummy hot dogs and chili. Jake cried for about 15 minutes after Shaun put his costume on and then I bribed him with candy to calm him down. (I'm not proud about that... ) Anyways he finally calmed down and ended up really liking his costume. Savannah was a cute princess and I was a pirate and Shaun was Brandon Flowers (the lead singer of the Killers). People from the ward kept trying to guess what he was.. I don't think anyone was right but it was fun hearing their guesses.  A lot of people guessed that he was a scarecrow. :-)

He is saying... "To Infinity and Beyond!!"

Yay!! I finally got a good shot of him!

Anyways, I also had a blast taking Jake around and teaching him how to say Trick or Treat. He caught on really fast once he realized that people would give him candy. It was fun to watch him getting his candy and wanting to eat it right away. We love Halloween in this house!! It's a fun holiday.

Family picture!!

The loot!!

Jake already getting to work!
Oh, and I wish I would have gotten some pictures of some of the trunks. People were really creative and there were some really cute and spooky decorated trunks out there.

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

So, we finally got to the pumpkin patch. It seemed like we would plan to go and then something would get in the way so I was excited to finally be going. It was a lot of fun. I really wish Savannah was walking though because I think that it would have been more fun. I spent most of my time making sure she didn't eat the hay and other stuff on the ground. I love this time of year and it was nice that I went to a pumpkin patch and it was only like 70 degrees outside. It was so nice because it actually felt like Fall. Maybe Vegas won't be so awful after all!! :-) (I'll probably retract that statement and some future point.) Anywhoo... enjoy the picture of my cute kiddos!!!

At the top of the hay pyramid.. Way to go Jakey!! and Daddy for carrying Savannah all the way up too!!:-)

He wasn't so sure about feeding the horses. By the way, I've tried to teach Jake that horses say neigh but for some reason he thinks they say "Moo!!"  It was funny to watch him go around to the horses saying "Horsey.. Moooooo"

Shaun looks a little scared of the horses too.. Savannah loved it!!

Getting ready to feed the goat!!

And he gets close!

And closer!!

And even closer but he's all out!! :-(

He was saying, "Sorry.. sorry.. all done!!" :-)

You think Savvy and I have the same faces!!?? We both do the nose scrunch really well!

Riding the wooden horsey!!

Family pic.. I love how Savannah isn't smiling and Jake looks like a gangster!!

My blue-eyed cutie!! Don't you love the HUGE bow!!?

The wooden horsey wasn't good enough. He kept trying to go in and ride the ponies so Daddy finally gave in and bought him a pony... ride!!! He LOVED it!! I'll have to put the video up but the whole he kept saying.. "yeeee heeee" He had so much fun!!

I think this such a cute shot!!

Saying "Thank you Barbie!!"

Playin in the canoe!

Looking forlorn!

He had a lot of fun on this too!!

And.. he REALLY didn't want to leave!! He was screaming and crying...

And YELLING at the top of his lungs. We are such mean parents to make him leave.
I think you can say that the pumpkin patch was a success!!!
