Thursday Adventure #5

So I put together a list of a bunch of things I wanted to do in Vegas with the kids and parks that I wanted to check out. I made a schedule of some of those things and passed it around to some other Mom's in the ward. Thursdays have been a lot of fun so far except for last Thursday.. we were sick so we didn't go. This week we wanted to go and "Meet the Mermaids" at the Silverton Hotel. They have a big aqaurium and at 2:15 continuing into the evening.. Mermaids come and swim in the tank and play with the kids. I have to say it was pretty cool. We went to a park before and had some lunch and then played there. It was a cool park with a Western theme. The bathrooms were even made to look like an old apothecary shop and saloon. It was pretty cool. And the kids loved the aquarium. Check out the pictures.

 

Addy and Savvy

Savvy kept escaping from the aquarium to go check out the waterfall at Bass Pro Shop. I need a leash or something for this girl. I let her down and she wanders everywhere!

Addison wasn't scared at all. Savannah was a little weary.. Jake didn't really seem to care.. He just liked the fish!! :-)

These guys were talking to each other.. Heather and I had no idea what they were saying but they seemed to understand each other. It was super cute.

 

Latest Project

Thank you Pinterest for this amazing idea! Jake has recently been really into letters. I was surprised when he started pointing to letters and saying them. I wasn't expecting for him to start so this early but I thought I might as well give him some activities to do to encourage his learning. I was happy to find this idea and excited that it wasn't too expensive to make. And Jake loves it. He had so much fun matching the magnet letters to the board. It was so fun to watch him play.

 I bought an oil drip pan from Walmart and cleaned it off with simple green.

 Then I made alphabet and cards on the computer and printed them out. Then I used some craft glue spray stuff that I had. I would probably laminate the cards if I ever did it again.



 

Then I bought some jumbo magnets on Amazon. I am going to make a pouch where he can store the letters in that blank space between the numbers. 

Happy Valentine's Day!!

So I wasn't going to do anything for Valentine's Day but I went to Walmart to get some stuff for an alphabet board that I'm making Jake (pics to come) and there was such cute stuff that I had to get something for my babies. It was fun seeing them play with their stuff in the morning. And it didn't end up being super expensive. Score!! Happy babies.. happy bank account. :-)d

For Shaun, I bought a box of chocolates and put little numbers underneath each chocolate. Each number goes with a card that has something for us to do; whether it be kiss for 15 seconds or one of my more creative ones.. roll a scattegories die and for whatever letter comes up you have to use 5 adjectives that describe the other person. There are 29 chocolates so I doubt that we will do them all tonight but we can do them over the weekend. I think it'll be fun. I also made him a picture frame that says I love you because.... (and you fill in whatever you want!) I thought it would be a good way to keep finding ways to say I love you!! It was a low key.. nothing crazy romantic.. but fun Valentine's Day! Happy Love Day to everyone!!

I just can't believe how big this girl is getting and so fast!! She is so much fun even when she's sick! And she has the best faces!! My favorite is when she squinches up her nose and pretends to be a piggy!! So adorable!
