Boating!!

This past Saturday, Toni invited us to go out on her brother's boat! We went out on the Sacramento River and just had a good time riding, splashing, swimming a little bit, and riding the tube! I'm a wimp, becasue I have tubes in my ears, I'm super scared to go out. I know if I fall it's going to be really bad. I haven't found any ear plugs that work completely. My Savvy girl was super brave and went out on the tube with Trevor. It was cute to see her face. She was a little unsure but totally willing to try. I'm kind of seeing a little bit of a tough girl in her. Jake is super cautious and won't do anything if he doesn't want to, which is fine. I just knew he would've liked it if he would've tried it. Oh well, maybe I'll get him out there in the future!! Thanks Kevin and Toni for having us!! We had a blast!

She totally fell asleep and didn't even wake up during the choppy parts!! She just bounced along and slept!! So cute!!

Toni's niece, Lena was super cute with Jake and Savannah!! She is definitely going to be a good baby-sitter one day. She was sweet and watchful of Jake and especially Savvy!!

The current was really strong.. Trev had to hold onto the ladder in order to keep from getting carried away!! I'm sure his muscles were super sore by the end of the day!!

Jake loves tackling whoever will let him!! Savannah is pretty good at letting him until he starts getting rough!!! They have so much fun playing together!!

Savannah loved this thing!! I don't know what it was called.. but she had a blast!!

Jake had a blast "helping" Grammy water the lawn!! He did a pretty good job!! One time he was helping water the garden and sprayed Grammy and Roxy with the hose!! It was pretty funny!!

California State Fair

Thanks to my friend Michelle, we were able to go to the Fair again this year. There were a lot of fun things for the kids to do without paying extra money to do the rides. Jake kept asking to go on the rides but I was able to distract him with enough things!! One of the cool things they had this year was the Hall of Heroes. Jake went berserk and was running all around to look at everything. I was kind of bummed that they didn't have a bigger Batman, but they had a Bat-mobile, so that was good enough for him.

This was another cool part of the Fair. It was like a mad science area. There were a lot of fun things to do. The kids of course, loved the big bubbles the best!!

And of course, the animals!!

We probably spent the most time here!! Jake liked them but I think Savannah liked them more! She was so fearless and would go right up. I had to watch and make sure she didn't stick her fingers in their mouths. She loves animals. She will probably be my child who begs for a dog or some other animal! :-)
